Business World^® (BW) is a program designed to provide students and teachers from across the state with an experience that demonstrates the value of business and economics education. This unique program offers a better understanding of and an appreciation for the free enterprise system we live in.

BW Program Objectives

1. Help prepare a high quality future workforce

2. Connect Wisconsin companies with students and educators

3. Show students that a variety of opportunities exist in Wisconsin

4. Make students and educators aware of the challenges facing today’s businesses

To accomplish these objectives, students participate in a variety of activities and presentations. Each student company runs their own business through a computerized business simulation.

In addition, students and educators get a behind the scenes look at real companies as they tour local businesses. Tours help enable participants to explore careers available by investigating job opportunities and to learn about workplace skills necessary for success.
